Dairy Free Easter Eggs Recipe

With just a few simple ingredients you can create the most delicious and healthy Easter dessert. And not just one, but we’ll share three different filling recipe ideas. It’s very versatile and simple to make so you can use them every time you need an easy cake filling recipe. The combo of coconut cream and nuts/seeds butter creates the silkiest mousse texture and it works like magic.

This recipe is keto friendly. Vegan. Dairy Free. Gluten Free. Nut Free friendly. Delicious. 

Dairy Free Easter Eggs Recipe

In general, you will need:

1 part of nut butter part

1 part of melted coconut oil

3 parts of coconut cream NOT MILK (top layer from unshaken pack without water)

Quick Tip: For the fluffiest result use Kara Coconut Cream 1 lt in a tetra pack. It’s easily available in Countdown and any other supermarkets throughout the country. 

For best results, ensure coconut cream is at room temperature. In case it’s too hard, warm a bowl with coconut cream inside in a double boiler. 

Method:

  1. Pour melted chocolate into chocolate moulds or use a brush to set a thin chocolate coating on the moulds.
  2. Place in a freezer for a minute for hardening.
  3. Scoop the cream filling into the chocolate coated eggs moulds, set in a freezer and chill until the cream is firm for about 20 mins or so.
  4. Remove egg halves from moulds and bind together with a thin layer of liquid chocolate.

Keep refrigerated.

Easter Eggs with Cashew Butter

Cashew butter creates the most mellow and silkiest result. 

1 tbsp of of cashew butter 

1 tbsp of melted coconut oil

3 tbsp of coconut cream (without water)

Method: 

Scoop cashew butter and mix it with melted coconut oil till smooth. Use a spoon, no blender needed. Add coconut cream and combine it together (for about 2 mins). 

Easter Eggs with Chocolate Ganache

You can use a standard ratio, but only our will give this fluffy result.

40 gr of dark chocolate 

2 tsp of melted coconut oil

1 cup of coconut cream (without water)

Method: 

Warm up a coconut cream using a double boiler. Don’t overheat it. Fold chocolate into the cream and leave it for 2 mins. Mix it well till chocolate melts. Add coconut oil and mix it well. 

Easter Eggs with Tahini Paste

Tahini paste creates slightly bitter flavour. If you find it overpowering use a little bit of a sweetener of your choice. 

1 tbsp of of hulled tahini paste

1 tbsp of melted coconut oil

3 tbsp of coconut cream (without water)

Method: 

Scoop tahini paste and place into a bowl and mix it with melted coconut oil till smooth. Use a spoon, no blender needed. Add coconut cream and whip till smooth and silky (2 mins).
